7/27/07: LONDONS BURNING!
We've got mad love for our UK crew, but we just sent Austin Horse across the pond to burn up the streets of London on his way to the CMWC in Dublin. Crowned the 2006 North American Cycle Courrier Champion, Austin is setting his sights on the Worlds for 07, and is racing his BMW Gangsta track bike from Heathrow all the way to the podium.
If you see him zipping by, be sure to flag him down and treat him to a pint; he's really nice for such a fast guy (and we hear he's a cheap date).
Good luck to all the racers from around the world!
6/27/07: BACK FROM JAPAN IN ONE PIECE and CATCH THE SNEAK PEAK AT OUR FORTHCOMING LINE
Well, we made it back from Japan in one piece. It was an amazing trip, and a bit trippy. Gangsta Tracks are blowing up big time as well as demand for the new SR6 (were taking orders on that as well).
Check the LOOK BOOK To see some (but not all) of what we are working on for our forthcoming line.
5/8/07: NEW S#!T!
Ok folks, just letting everyone know we are updated with some new hot s#!t!
We've Veggieburgers in both silver and black, more stock of stems, both sizes and colors, new 07 barend caps, and loads o' new style tees too.
It's all up on the site, and as always, you can holla if you need anything.
Pre-Orders are being taken for the first batch of SR6 bikes due in June.
4/13/07: WE GOT NEW TEES and WE GOT NEW BIKES ON THE WAY ;D
Check the clothing section to see the new designs hot off the press. We got 4 new joints that are sure to be a good look on you.
But wait! There's more! We got more than a couple of new bikes that are almost ready for prime time. We don't want to give away too much yet, but the image here isn't shot in black light, its glowin'. It isn't a park frame, think something a little smaller ;P More on that real soon. Stay tuned.
3/15/07: WELLINGTON GETTING WELL !
Anson went under the knife on Wednesday to get his Meniscus fixed. He reported that the surgery went well, so we can all look forward to him doing his bar spin bunny hops over garbage pails again soon. We wish him a speedy recovery.
We also have some new bar ends available on the parts page of the website. The new tee shirts are about two weeks away, and some sneak peeks of the new bikes will go up next week.
3/4/07: NEW UPDATES
It’s been a bit since we’ve updated the news, but there’s been a lot going on here at BMW.
We are currently working on prototypes and production of several bikes. Gangsta Track production is catching up with demand, and soon we’ll have the Twin Top Tube Cruiser. Don’t forget we still offer our tried and true Park Bike and Race Links as well.
There are three prototypes underway to be shown at the UK Tradeshow in Birmingham, England at the end of April. There’s the ACL (Anson City Limited), a street-oriented 24-inch hard tail, a 10th Anniversary Limited Edition BMX and a Slope-Style free ride bike.
Be sure to check out our riders section, as we are proudly sponsoring Austin Horse on the Gangsta Track.
We haven’t forgotten about the gear, and we’ll be offering a few of the new apparel items in the next couple of weeks. More updates to follow soon.
12/13/06: NEW BMW WEBSITE IS UP AND RUNNING!
Brooklyn Machine Works has launched its new web site, and we will be expanding it in the weeks and months to follow. In an effort to make Brooklyn products more accessible, we have added a store to the site. This will make it easier to get Brooklyn frames, parts and clothing, as well as service replacement parts for current and past products.
As well as the new bikes on the site, we have some other new bikes in the works. We will continue to make bikes with the Brooklyn twist to them, and we are always open to new trends in riding and the bike culture. Brooklyns will always stand out as unique, and with that we will continue to stir up the fanatic and enthusiastic Brooklyn owners.
A new team is in the works, and you'll soon be seeing them at events and many local spots in the coming year. Team riders will have their own web page on the site with their own news, and down the road, we will have a Brooklyn owner's page for people to post their own bikes and info. Our UK site has had a forum, enjoyed by many for a few years now, and we have linked it to the U.S. site. We hope you all join in on the threads.
